Weekly Scoop

This week has been hell and it feels like every day dragged on forever. We lost the house and then we lost one of the people moving in with us. The weather has been all funky raining one minute and then sunny the next. My head feels like it's about to explode. I'm so done with this area even if it is the most perfect place.

Lilly Pulitzer announced on their blog this week that they have finally launched the Lilly resort tote. I am so excited about this! I have been waiting for someone to come out with a bag that encompasses what this bag has accomplished. The fact that it's Lilly just makes it all that much better! I definitely want one.

OMG! This is priceless. I am a huge lover of coffee, I can't even start my day without a cup of espresso so seeing these kids drink coffee for the first time is priceless. I can't wait to have kids...and introduce them to coffee.

"Years", a collection of recording of trees. This is really cool! Christoph Freidhöfer took slices of trees and built a record player that translates the rings into piano keys. As a big record fan I was so pumped to see this. You can even download the recordings!

This is a Starbucks parody video based on a song from Disney's Frozen. I find it hilarious. I feel like I post a lot of coffee related things but hey, what can I say? I love coffee.

As an art major I'm a huge fan of interactive art. I think digital interactive art is some of the most interesting because the possibilities are endless. "Silk" is an interactive digital art project where you can literally draw anything with all kinds of symmetry settings. It even has an Ipad app which I now have.
