9 beauty products I can't live without

As much as I lust over new and amazing beauty products I'm not the kind of girl to go out and buy them all. I like to stick with my favorites because simply put, they work. I'm not a makeup or beauty guru by any means but I do like to think I know what I'm doing. I rely on mostly friends advice and reviews of products to determine what works for me. I always tend to have a lot of favorite products but there are only a select few that I always need to have...

1) Clinique perfectly real makeup // I don't really wear a lot of makeup especially not a heavy foundation. While I like to use a powder from time to time this is perfect for casual day to day makeup. It's sort of a mix between foundation and tinted moisturizer. This seems to give me even coverage that blends well with my uneven skin and doesn't feel heavy or look like I'm wearing makeup. I mean that's the point right? To blend skin and makeup to look as 1.

2) Burts Bees mango & orange body butter // I tend to have drier skin than most so I need to constantly keep my skin hydrated. Unfortunately I can't always strip down and apply moisturizer to my entire body. This stuff keeps my skin moisturized and smelling nice all day long. It goes on smooth and leaves my skin feeling silky soft.

3) Tigi catwalk strong mousse // My hair is very flat. It's so flat that I don't even need a flat iron to keep it straight. I like my hair to have lots of volume especially while I'm growing it longer as it's kinda short right now. The care I take in my hair is unreal. I'm always using masks and vitamin oils as I dye my hair on a monthly basis. I'm not the biggest fan of heavily saturated hair products that damage hair so you can imagine my relief to find something that doesn't do that. This mousse is perfect. It gives great lift while feeling very airy. It comes out very easily and doesn't leave your hair looking wet.

4) Chloe eau de perfume // I have a deviated septum which essentially means I can't smell. I can smell strong things among others but generally I can't smell well at all. I usually rely on the scent of others to let me know if something smells bad or a body product is too strong. This perfume however I can smell and It's just wonderful. I've been told It's not too strong which is nice and smells very feminine.

5) Clinique advanced concealer // I'm constantly grabbing for this whether it be a blemish on my face or a hickey on my neck this is my go to coverall. This concealer doesn't feel too cakey or powdery. It goes on smooth and blends well with your skin without having to use gobs of it. I even tested it once on my wrist tattoo and it covered it perfectly.

6) Smith's mocha rose lip balm // I just love lip balm. I keep some everywhere, my car, bureau, nightstand, bathroom counter and even in the pockets of my jackets. A lot of people tend to lean toward the Burts Bees products. Now while I do love the Burts Bees line of lip balms and stains I love Smith's way more. 1 major difference I have noticed is that the Burts Bees lip balms melt much easier in warm weather than the Smiths products do. I hate it when I open a tube of lip balm and it breaks apart all over my lips. I like the Smith's line of products because they come in a good but small variety of scents and they last. I go through them like crazy but that's because I'm constantly using it all day long. I prefer the mocha rose over the other scents but that's just me.

On a side note Smith's just came out with a mandarin lip balm that I'm just dying to try!

7)  Cetaphil skin cleanser // I don't like abrasive skin cleansers. I feel like they just hurt my sensitive skin more than they do good. This is my go to face wash because it's very gentle, non abrasive and most of all it works very well.

8) Fluoridex toothpaste // I know toothpaste how boring, right? Well let me tell you this is worth it. When I was younger I had braces. As a result my teeth were left very stained and a lot of enamel was gone. This toothpaste is prescription but it works wonders. It's specially formulated to help keep and strengthen what enamel you have left. It smells nice and leaves my mouth feeling minty fresh.

9) Urban Decay chill makeup setting spray // Living on the coast can be a nightmare for makeup. Especially when you live on the water because the ocean breeze just ruins hair and makeup. This stuff is amazing! It sprays on over your makeup in a non aerosol bottle which is nice. It doesn't leave your skin oily or sticky and doesn't feel heavy. It's the best makeup setting spray I have used to date and I plan to continue its use.
