March wishlist

1). These deco stone earrings from J. Crew are the first thing on my list. I'm a huge fan of the art deco period and these errings are a perfect accessory for my wardrobe. I will admit the holes in my lobes are stretched but I do plan to get secondary holes shortly. I hope to build a good collection of "normal" earrings by the time I am able to change the earrings out.

2). I found this gold choker necklace from J. Crew the other day and I just had to have it on my list. It's such a simple yet elegant piece that I could see it with so many simple outfits.

3). Who doesn't love a good gingham shirt? Well if you can believe it I don't own one in red which I think is the most popular color. So when I came across this mini gingham twill shirt from Sandra Ingrish at Nordstroms well you know.

4). I'm always a fan of a good coctail or in this case a homemade soda. This book I found on Amazon tells you how to do all that and more. From making simple syrups to the art of flavoring this book has it all and more.

5). What else can I say about Diptyque other than they have wonderful products (especially their candles)! This floral room spray smells just as good as it sounds which is amazing just like every other Diptyque products.

6). Collar necklaces can be so fun and add the perfect pop of color when wearing that ironed oxford. Seeing as I don't have one like this and I could always use a collar with stone embellishments this stone collar from J. Crew is just what I've always wanted.

7). As a photographer I'm constantly on the prowell for new cameras especially film cameras because they come cheap and I love developing my own film. Well This is it the la sardina lomography camera, simple yet fashionable I could see myself taking this everywhere.

8). Heels, heels, and more heels! All I want is more heels! These hermosa pumps are the perfect heel height combined with the perfect floral print. It even comes in a pink that makes me want to get both of them.

9). A good pair of Birkenstocks can go a long way and although not the most fashionable until now that is they are some of my favorite sandals. Whether it be because their easy to slip on or because they mold to your feet their are a million reasons to love Birkenstocks. So you should head on over to Nordstroms and buy these floral printed Birkenstocks before they sell out.

Valentine's day gift guide

Spring is in the air (sorta) and Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Everyone is out looking for that special something for their special someone. Well this is my little gift guide with what I think are the perfect gifts. Some of the items on the list are more expensive than others but everything is within an affordable price range.

1. Henri Bendel West 57th tote $298

This is the perfect tote in just the right shade of pink for Spring. I love totes like this because they allow me to carry so much without looking like the bag lady carrying 3 bags.

2. Henri Bendel Crystal ear jackets $88

Although I have my ears stretched I still want to get second holes so I can wear more regular earrings. These "ear jackets" from Henri Bendel are perfect statement earrings that are sure to make any outfit pop.

3. Kate Spade Kiss Tally clutch $268

What girl doesn't love a good clutch? Well this Tally clutch from Kate Spade is everything she wanted. I love the colors and the word kiss is a perfect nod to Valentine's Day.

4. Tory Burch Fit bit bracelet $38

If your the fitness type who uses a FitBit then you'll love this. Tory Burch collaborated with FitBit to create this stylish bracelet for your FitBit. Stay stylish while in sweats or gym clothes all without breaking the bank at just $34.

5. J. Crew Freshwater pearl necklace $178

Like most girls I love a good string of pearls and this is just the one. This non symmetrical string of freshwater pearls from J. Crew are to die for. I currently only have symmetrical pearls but would love a strand like these. These are perfect for classing up a simple outfit like a white shirt with blue skinny jeans.

6. J. Crew Leather clutch $ 128

Did someone say camel? Camel for some reason is the color that makes everything look more expensive. I love this clutch from J. Crew because it's simple and has a lot of space.

7. Alex & Ani Initial charm bracelet $28

Alex & Ani charm bracelets are the perfect bracelets that can be worn alone or as a stack. They come in silver or gold and the best part is if you can't afford to spend a lot their usually not too expensive being around $28.

8. Second Nature by Hand One of a kind recycled bookshelf art $10

Isn't this the cutest? It's a simple heart carved out of an old book! For all you book worms out there this one's for you.

Five things I am crushing on right now

1). Tory Burch recently released her line of watches and I am crushing so bad. These watches are a little bit expensive but so worth it. I love watches, it's like sunglasses I never feel like I have enough and I always want more. The watch pictured here is the gold tone and orange Tory watch, this is one of my favorites that I hope to pick up soon.

2). This trench coat from Akris Punto is just darling. As a record collector and lover of all things vintage this trench coat is just perfect for me. The print is the perfect amount of pop mixed with the perfect vintage print, It's way out of my price range right now but something i definitely want to save for.

3). I love good makeup just as much as the next girl which is why this lipstick from Face in "cream darkest port" is on my list. It's just the right shade of deep red for Fall and I'm so happy that it's sweater weather so I can wear it.

4). I'm addicted to coffee we all know that, I drink anywhere from three to five cups of coffee a day and would drink more if days weren't so short. Last week I discovered this gem in the cooking section at Barns & Noble. It's published by DK out of the UK and is filled with so much amazing information that I can't stop reading. There's everything from recipes to what seems like every kind of bean in existence. If your a coffee addict like me you should look into picking up this book.

5). Every girl out there dreams of Tiffany's at night (or maybe just me) so when I heard Tiffany's released a new line called Tiffany T I had to go over and check it out. Of course I fell in love right away! I just had to have something from this collection (not that I have yet) but I really want to get this bracelet. It's perfectly simple enough to wear during the day yet elegant enough to wear out at night. This is something I really need to invest in.

Fall staple outfits

Now that were in the thick of the Fall season and I can finally wear sweaters without the weather going wonky. With Fall being my favorite season there are just so many things I can wear.

I have come up with a list of my favorite staple Fall outfits that are ready to wear right now.

A good flannel with a cableknit sweater and some boots is the perfect outfit for a cool Fall day. Pair it with some fair isle socks and a washed out hat and your good to go.

Sweater: elbow patch sweater, Skirt: zip mini, Shoes: reva ballet flats, Bracelet: zoe bow cuff

Try pairing a good oversized or longer sweater with a skirt like this one. Wear it with a pair of black flats and some simple jewelry for a simple yet still distinctively femanine look.

A varsity style sweater with a good pair of skinny jeans and a baseball cap goes well with tan flats and a monogram necklace. You can complete the outfit by adding some tortoise shell glasses to give it that college look.

I have always loved denim dresses because they can be worn in both Fall ad Spring with a simple change from light to dark. This dress from Land's End pairs nicely with brown cowboy boots and a leather belt. Add a striped shirt underneath to add some warmth and top it off with a simple bracelet like this Tiffany's heart tag charm bracelet.

Fall wishlist #1

I have realized I have almost no Fall dresses so I have decided to dedicate my first Fall wishlist to all the dresses I am lusting over right now. Some may be very simple and some more complex but all on this list are dresses that for one reason or another I am dying to have.

Found a pair...and more shopping

Earlier this week I made a post about running shoes and how I really needed a new pair. Since then I have been looking everywhere for a good pair that looks cute and won't break the bank. I also didn't want to shop online because I'm trying this new thing where I only shop in stores (for the most part) so I hopefully wont spend so much. Guys let me tell you this was much harder than I thought it would be. I went to the most logical place first which was Dick's Sporting Goods. I thought that if anyone were to have a good selection of running shoes it would be Dick's. Well, I was right for the most part, Dick's did have a large selection of running shoes just not in the price range I was looking. My next logical choice was the mall because both Olympia Sports and Foot Locker are located in the mall as well as Pay Less Shoes. None of these places had what I was looking for either. At this point I had made the decision that the shoes I got had to either be Nike or New Balance. I decided to try Runners Alley next but this too was a bust. At this point I felt like I had run out of options until I remembered there was a Nike factory store in the Kittery outlets.

When I walked in I could tell right away this is where I should have come first. This place was pretty good size and had more than its fair share of Women's running shoes. After much searching and trying on way too many pairs of shoes I walked out with these.

These shoes are perfect. The colors aren't my favorite but I do still really like them. In terms of weight their super light. Their very easy to get on and are very comfortable to wear. They also have a surprising amount of flex which is great because it feels like nothing's there.

I also couldn't resist doing some other shopping while I was there. Every time I'm at the outlets I always leave with way more than what I went for. Well there's a J. Crew Factory Store there which I happen to really like. I know it's the factory store but it still has a lot of good things.

I left with a bunch of the California Tees in different cuts and prints and a pineapple print button down. I mean come on guys how cute is this pineapple button down? I just love it. I'm also loving the tee with with the women's face on it.

I couldn't find the pineapple button down :(. Sorry guys but here's all the tees.

TEES

also kind of a tiny sneak peak at my apartment. Full photos to come soon were just not fully set up yet.

Light and breezy

I swear it was much lighter out a cloud just happened by.

Running shoes

Earlier this week I wrote about my new found love for running. As of late I have been thinking about getting a new pair of running shoes. There are just so many cute styles and colors out right now I just can't resist. I feel like this purchase will be justified because it's something I will use every single day as compared to something I might only wear at night or on a special occasion.

I have been looking around and I think I have found my top five favorites. I just love these colors especially the yellow New Balances ones.

Sales Sales Sales!

We all know I just love a good sale and with my shopping addiction I'm the queen of finding good sales. July is my favorite month for sales because there are tons of them! Here is a selection of my current faves that you can get right now at prices that will wow you.

Summer is here!

I forsee sunshine and lots of days at the beach in my near future. Yes guys it's that time of year again. That time of year when everyone is out of school and when sunshine and a good tan is all you need. It's finally here and I'm so ready for it. It's Summer! What better way to kick off summer as the Summer solstice just occurred last week than a shopping spree? Now while I can't afford to go nuts at the moment I can still spend on some things and drool over everything else I can't.

When making shopping lists I always keep in mind that I probably won't ever be able to buy the whole list so I make sure to put my priorities at the top. A lot of the time I don't even get to my entire top ten before a lot of the items are sold out or out of season. This summer though I plan to get to as much of my list as possible while still being able to afford my rent and just live. With that I will say that my top ten is full of things this time that I really want and need so filling it is one of my top priorities. So without further ado here's my Summer top twelve because I just can't limit it to ten.

P.S. Although this is my Summer top twelve it's not in any particular order.

One// Kiel James Patrick Lucky Sailor Belt

I love anchors! What better than a belt with an anchor buckle? This belt is great not only because it's nautical but because it comes in so many colors your bound to find one you like.

Two// Kate Spade Francis Holly Street Tote

I'm a huge fan of Kate Spade. I think she makes the cutest bags in the most darling prints and colors. I have been looking for a good every day bag to add to my collection (I am not a bag lady I swear) and I don't have any red bags yet surprisingly so this would be my first. I'm always very nosy. I'm always asking everyone what their talking about and I'm always wondering what's in everyone's bag. So this bag being transparent is just what I need. I have no problem showing people what's in my bag in fact if I could carry a transparent bag around every day so people could see what I'm carrying I would.

Three// L.L Bean Maine Isle Flip Flop

Currently I have hardly any flip flops. I have plenty of Sperry's and strappy sandals but not a lot of flip flops. These Maine Isle Flip Flops from L.L. Bean are perfect for summer. Their cute, simple, inexpensive and just what I need.

Four// Ray-Ban Aviator Full Color

I have a lot of sunglasses especially Ray-Ban's. I've always been a big fan of their Aviators so when they came out with the full color series I was drooling. These Aviators in tortoise shell with the brown lenses have Rebecca Green written all over them. I can see myself wearing these everywhere. They would have to be polarized though of course.

Five// H&M Denim Jacket

All of my denim jackets are old or over sized. I want a good fitting white and light blue denim jacket for Spring/Summer. I love the way denim jackets look and they go with everything. This one from H&M is great. It's a good fit, the color is nice and it's inexpensive.

Six// Cape Cod Jewelers Cape Cod Single Ball Bracelet

I can't believe I don't have one of these yet considering the price. I have wanted one of these for a long time but I just haven't gotten around to getting one. This Summer though I do plan to own one of these. I love these bracelets because their simple and elegant. Their not a big statement piece and you can pair them with anything.

This bracelet is one of my favorites. I have been eyeing the David Yurman Cable Classics collection for a while now. Finally I found the perfect one and I want it. This bracelet with the gold tips with the pearl is so me. I love gold and I love pearls so there was no comparison needed for this one.

Eight// L.L Bean Boat and Tote Bag

I don't have a canvas tote at the moment ( I know surprising) so I'm in the market for one. L/L Bean is well known for their Boat and Tote canvas bags and for a good reason. Each bag is handmade in Brunswick Maine by craftsman that take pride in their work. These bags are as durable as they are timeless. They come in a wide variety of colors and sizes and you can even customize your own. I plan to get mine in either the navy or pink I haven't decided yet. What's a good canvas bag without a monogram. L.L Bean monograms just about anything for only $6 or free if you have an L.L Bean Visa card. I for sure plan to have mine monogrammed.

Nine// Ralph Lauren Classic-Fit Polo Shirt

Not a lot of polo shirts in my closet which is pretty sad because their simple and casual. I need to get a bunch of these in a bunch of colors and all monogrammed of course. Ralph Lauren has always made the perfect classic polo but Lands End also makes a pretty good looking polo as well which can also be monogrammed.

Ten// Smathers & Branson Rainbow Fleet Needlepoint Belt in Navy

Who doesn't love sailboats? I know I do. I really like Smathers & Branson's belts. If I could afford it I would buy them all but sadly I can't. This Rainbow Fleet belt in navy is the one I want most. As we all know I'm a big sailor so a belt with sailboats on it is totally me.

Eleven// Lilly Pulitzer Westley Tunic

Like most girls I love Lilly Pulitzer I just can't get enough. She makes some of the best clothing in the most Darling prints! My wardrobe is lacking in tunics immensely so this is the perfect addition for Summer. I love the navy with white detail.

Twelve// Lilly Pulitzer Skipper Printed Popover

I'm a big big fan of the Vineyard Vines Shep Shirts. I love them , their a definite staple in my closet so it didn't surprise me that I fell in love with this popover. It's made of the perfect material in such a cute print. This will become a wardrobe staple of mine for sure.

Feelin' Good

Sperry's

As I gear up for School and moving out I thought I would treat myself to a little shopping. I'm a huge procrastinator so the fact that I reward myself for even the smallest feats definitely contributes to my shopping addiction. The other day I went to the Kittery outlets with a few friends. I ended up leaving with a pair of Sperry's that I'm so in love with I just had to share.

These Sperry's are just perfect for warm Spring days and of course Summer. The color is more of a Winter white but they are definitely a style for Spring/Summer. The gold and the mesh on the sides without the padding on the inside is what sold me on these. The price? An even better reason to get them. I got these at a shoe outlet store for $54, they retail for $110 so this was a steal! I love getting deals on things I buy! If you are ever in the Kittery Maine area you need to stop by the outlets. They have tons of stores that range from Ralph Lauren to J. Crew. I could spend hours there if I had the money to do so.

What's in my bag

With all the nice weather around lately I've been switching my bags out to Spring colors. With all of this I thought it was time I did my first "What's in my bag".

First off this Dooney & Bourke little backpack has been a favorite of mine. The color is really rich and it holds a ton! I got it earlier this season and I'm so glad I did.

Keys: These are the one thing I am always loosing. I have a lot of keys for everything! I even have the key to our old house (can't take it off just yet). I have an Alex & Ani star of Venus key chain that I added last summer. I also added a bottle opener as well which doesn't come in handy as much as you'd think with me being more of a wine drinker.

Phone: I'm a social media nut I can't be away from technology for long. My Samsung Galaxy 3 has been one of the best phones I have ever had. The screen size is perfect for watching things and the touch screen's sensitivity is perfect.

Lighter: You know when you need a good lighter. Although I do not smoke cigarettes it's always handy to have one on hand. I prefer the Djeep lighters because their quite big and come in a variety of super bright colors.

Headband: I got this one from a local store that sells these hand made ones. Headbands are something that I always seem to need. As my hair grows out it goes through these awkward stages where the only solution seems to be headbands.

Wallet: This one is a given. Mine is an old Etienne Aigner but I still love it. There are a lot of notable things inside but the most used are my debit/credit cards and my bull moose card.

Sun and prescription glasses: I always have multiple pairs of glasses with me. I always have a pair of prescription sunnies as well as a regular pair. I also carry a pair of regular prescription glasses. Pictured here are a pair of Ralph Lauren prescription sunnies and Ray-Ban club masters as well as Ray-Ban prescription glasses.

Chloe: One thing about me that you'll find out is that I can't smell well so I've had to rely on others for a sense of smell. This perfume though is one I can smell and it smells amazing! I get a lot of compliments on it all the time.

Lip gloss: This particular one is by Smash Box but I have a bunch of shades I use depending on my mood.

Clinique concealer: I always have this with me! This product has saved me countless times from all sorts of public embarrassment. I have used this to hide everything from hickeys to little acne breakouts.

Eye drops: I always have eye drops with me. I tend to get dry eyes a lot so having this is a must. I like the Clear Eyes or Rohto brands of eye drops.

Lipstick: This shade of lipstick by Face of Stockholm is my favorite for Spring and Summer. It's more of a red orange and it goes well with my tan skin.

Lip balm: I always use this lip balm by Smith's rosebud perfume company. It comes in a metal tim in 3 colors and lasts a long time. It smells great and works really well.

Headphones: Boring I know but their always with me. You never know when you might want to listen to a good playlist or Pandora station.

What do you keep in your bag?

Shep shirts

So last week I was looking at Vineyard Vines shep shirts and there were 2 I just had to have! I love shep shirts, I really do. They come in a variety of colors and patterns and have become a staple in my wardrobe. A lot of people say they don't fit right because their too short but with my build they fit perfectly. In total I ended up with the rose print and the multi gingham shep shirts as well as this blue oxford shirt. They came in the mail today which was relatively quick and I'm so excited to wear everything!

I know their a bit pricey and I should have waited for them to go on sale but I'm very impatient and I couldn't risk them being out of my size if I did. They also came with these 2 whale stickers in the cutest colors. I already put one on the back of my ipad.

Varsity jacket

Varsity jackets are very in this Spring. Varsity jackets are simple and classic. Their good for just about every season aside from summer and you can pair them with a lot of outfits. This Spring I have made it a point to put some on my list. I have one that I wear all the time and I love it so much I need more. These varsity jackets are a few of my favorites that I currently have on my list

The jacket below is the one I wear a lot. It's quilted on the inside so it's pretty warm and the canvas helps break the wind. It's perfect for someone like me that lives in on the seacoast. This particular jacket is from Boogie's Diner in Aspen. The back patch reads "Eat heavy, Dress cool, Aspen."

1). Asos- White chocolate Varsity jacket. I love the colors of this one. The red and white really contrasts well. The blue lettering is the perfect third color.

2). J. Crew- Golden Bear Sportswear for J. Crew linen varsity jacket (also featured in my Spring top ten post here). I love how this one is linen and that it's thin. The grey makes it the perfect color for Spring and with how light it is it's the perfect day jacket.

3). Ralph Lauren- Denim & Supply snap front varsity jacket. The polo black color makes this the perfect night jacket.

4). Coach- Leather varsity jacket. This one I just love! The contrasting black and pink leather is just perfect and being leather it's definitely unique.

First Spring day

So it's gorgeous outside! It's really warm (for New Hampshire) which today is pretty warm. It's really sunny and bright. Due to this nice weather I have finally decided I can break out my entire Spring wardrobe for an outfit for today. I decided to keep it very simple. I have yet to decided on sunglasses and shoes...i'm so indecisive.

Shirt: J. Crew, Shorts: J. Crew 5" chino, Bag: Dooney & Bourke, Bracelet: Tiffany's heart tag charm bracelet, Necklace: made by a local silversmith

Backpack

With the purchase of my latest Dooney & Bourke backpack I think it's safe to say with so many in my closet that i'm addicted to mini backpacks. I think smaller backpacks are great not just because their different but because their stylish and can hold lots of stuff. I tend to carry a lot with me so I like having the space without looking like i'm carrying around a big shopper all the time.

These are my current favorites:
1. Long Champ "Le Pliage" backpack (it also comes in a monogrammed version)
2. Marc by Marc Jacobs classic Q Mariska backpack
3. Tory Burch viva backpack
4. Elizabeth and James cynnie leather drawstring backpack
5. Rag & Bone pilot backpack
6. Madwell the transporter rucksack
7. Dooney & Bourke nylon flap backpack

My Spring top ten

With Spring on it's way I can't wait to break out my Spring wardrobe! I'm so Spring ready I've already reorganized my closet putting my spring clothes front and center. That said I always could use more clothes. I swear my shopping addiction is going to put me into debt if i'm not careful. I've compiled a list of the things I'm crushing on right now. This is my Spring top ten.

1. Kiel James Patrick scallop oxford "Bailey's cottage"
2. Vineyard Vines polka dot shep shirt
3. Kiel James Patrick monogrammed cape codder
4. Lemon & Line limited edition in navy
5. J. Crew Golden Bear Sportswear for J.Crew varsity jacket in grey

7. Kate Spade Via Limoni Clara in vivid yellow

9. Jack Rogers Regina flat in black/blush
